🔥Structure of the Standard

General Safety Code for Industrial Combustion Furnaces
Part 1: “General requirements” (JIS B 8415-1:2020)
Part 2: “Combustion and fuel-handling systems” (JIS B 8415-2:2020)
Part 3: “Protective systems” (JIS B 8415-3:2020)

🔥Background

☑ Standard was created by modifying the technological details of ISO 13577-1, ISO 13577-2, and ISO 13577-4 (issued in 22014 and following) for the Japanese market
☑ Standard is similar to EN 746 and NFPA 86 in Europe and the USA respectively
☑ ISO 13577 has requirements specific to each region in the annexes.

🔥Positioning

This is a type C standard as defined in “Risk assessment and risk reduction” under “General principles for design” in Safety of Machinery (JIS B 9700).

Industrial combustion furnaces heated with gas or liquid fuel, and related equipment
