Suggestion of maintenance of Control Valves for Heat Exchanger

In F&B factories, there are several measures to guarantee Food Safety:

1. Sterilization / Pasteurization

Optimum Sterilization / Pasteurization by monitoring

2. Check the holding time of temperature and the flow rate

Check and record F-value.

Steam flow is mostly fixed during sterilization/pasteurization.
Change of valve travel of the CV of steam flow increase may suggest the following predictions.

☑ Dirt/clogging inside of the heat exchanger

☑ Leakage of heat medium from the heat exchanger

Valve travel keeps same position but steam flow increases.
This may suggest the following trouble

☑ Trim erosion of CV
