According to Hematology Blood Transfusion Hospital – Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, as of 15^th Feb, 2024, the Blood Bank’s stockpile is dwindling to 5,000 bags of blood. It is expected to decrease to 4,000 blood bags over the next 2 weeks and there is a risk of ischemia.

Responding to the calling from the HCMC Department of Health as well as voluntarily contributing to the blood bank, Azbil Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh Branch joined in the blood donation day at MM Mega Market in the morning of 8^th Mar 2024.

This is a very meaningful activity, a noble gesture of Azbil Vietnam’s staff.

The purpose of blood donation is to increase the amount of blood supplied to hospitals in order to provide emergency treatment for patients, or to preventing disasters.

Each year, Vietnam needs about 1.7 million units of blood for treatment, however, with about 800.000 units of blood collected from several sources, there are still many urgent cases put in danger due to the lack of blood donors – References: Red Cross HCMC.

At the end of the blood donation day, the participants received commemorative gifts from the organizer. Azbil Vietnam will continue to participate in these meaningful events, demonstrating the corporate responsibility and joining hands to solve the social issues.
