Against the backdrop of accelerating digital transformation and the growing demand for high-performance, energy-efficient data center infrastructure, Azbil Vietnam participated in the Vietnam Data Center Workshop (VDCC) as one of the main sponsors, underscoring its commitment to advancing smart and sustainable data center solutions.
Taking place on 9 January 2026, the event brought together leading investors, design consultants, and system integrators, serving as a professional platform for in-depth discussions on current challenges and emerging trends in the design, operation, and performance optimization of modern data centers.

Throughout the workshop, discussions consistently identified the cooling system, particularly the chiller plant, as a decisive factor in data center performance. Given that it can account for up to 60% of total ACMV energy consumption in building facilities, optimising chiller plant operation is widely recognised as a fundamental prerequisite for achieving sustainable and energy-efficient data center operations.
Chiller Plant Digital Twin Solution was presented at the VDCC Workshop No.3 by Azbil Vietnam
During the technical session, Azbil Vietnam addressed these operational challenges by introducing its Chiller Plant Digital Twin (CPDT), drawing strong interest from data center professionals. This solution enables the creation of a high-fidelity digital replica of the entire physical chiller plant in the cyber world, accurately simulating the operational behaviour of chillers, pumps, and cooling towers.
Unlike conventional monitoring systems that primarily focus on data visualisation, CPDT delivers advanced analytical capabilities to support informed operational decision-making. These include identifying operational inefficiencies, detecting abnormal behaviour and equipment deterioration, and evaluating alternative operating scenarios prior to implementation. By comparing simulated energy performance with actual operating data, operators can assess the effectiveness of optimization measures while minimizing operational risk and improving overall system stability.
Captivating visualization through a live demo delivered by technical expert from azbil Corporation
The demonstration illustrated how system-level data from the chiller plant can be integrated into a unified analytical model, enabling real-time visualisation of plant efficiency, total power consumption, and building load. Through this live demo-based approach, attendees not only gained insights into how data-driven analysis can support predictive operation, but also experienced its value in improving decision-making and enhancing the resilience and energy efficiency of chiller plant operations under dynamic data center load conditions.
Technical discussions at Azbil’s booth featured CPDT practical applications and energy-saving solutions in the Data Center industry
Following the technical sessions, the vibrant interactions at Azbil’s booth attracted numerous attendees, particularly captivated by the practical demonstrations of the Chiller Plant Digital Twin (CPDT) and other advanced technologies that showcased tangible benefits in energy optimization and system reliability. This hands-on experience enabled participants to envision how these solutions could be implemented and invested in their own facilities to achieve significant operational improvements.
The workshop concluded successfully with a highly promising outlook for the future of data center infrastructure in Vietnam. Among the key highlights, Azbil Vietnam’s introduction of the Chiller Plant Digital Twin (CPDT) stood out by demonstrating the transformative potential of digital counterparts to optimize energy efficiency and operational stability. Furthermore, the VDCC event not only highlighted current achievements but also set the foundation for ongoing progress and collaboration within the data center community. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, Azbil Vietnam is dedicated to helping its partners navigate the complexities of data center management with confidence and success.
